Video Transcript: Create a Bird Feeding Station

(Description: As the video begins, the Wild Birds Unlimited jingle plays and the company logo fades in on the screen. The video title is displayed, “How to Create a Bird Feeding Station.” Two male naturalists from Wild Birds Unlimited are shown demonstrating how to create a feeding station using the Advanced Pole System.)

[John] You know Brian, there is no doubt that our Advanced Pole System has been designed by experts to be the best pole system on the market. But when you first look at it, it kind of looks complicated.

[Brian] Well John, really it’s not terribly complicated. In fact it’s pretty simple. I could put a bird feeding station together here for you in under two minutes.

[John] Really?

[Brian] Indeed!

[John] All right dude you’re on. OK, ready, set, go!

[Brian] So I’m going to grab my screwdriver, take my base pole and place it in the ground and get it started. Then use my screwdriver.

[John] I’d help you but I don’t want to cheat.

[Brian] Oh, no cheating. Keep it straight as I go, get it nice and solid. Next would be the stabilizer and cross arms. Oh! Put a cross arm in one direction and cross arm in the opposite direction. That’s the fun part. Place an extension pole here to get it up a little higher. Put a finial to top off my system here and double crook arms. Place some feeders up here. But here’s one of my favorites – a little decorative branch perch to let the birds come in have a place to sit and take turns at the feeders.

[John] That was really quick and I just happen to have a couple of feeders. Let’s make it look good. There we go. Ta da! That was real easy.

[Brian] Simple, easy to do. The Advanced Pole System.
