American Goldfinch

The American Goldfinch male is yellow in summer with black
wings,
tail and forehead patch. The female is yellow-olive with blackish wings
and wing bars. During the winter, both male and female are dull yellow-olive
color. They are common on roadsides, in open woods, wooded edges,
suburbs and at feeders.
