Chipping Sparrow
Note the Chipping Sparrow has returned to the Bird FeederCam three years to the
day from his first visit! Make sure to watch for other birds migrating and
stopping by Bird FeederCam.
Congratulations to Bob Vaiden for identifying this
sparrow (bottom image) and calling it to our attention.
Small (5 ¼") gray-breasted sparrow with a rufous cap and black
line through the eye. White line over the black line. Seen in open woods, conifers and
cities and parks. Seen "hawking" insects, and at feeders.
